And the Vaccine Debate Goes On: Green Our Vaccines
Since 1986 the number of vaccines the CDC recommends has gone from 10 to 36. But do we, as parents, HAVE to give our children all those vaccines?
![]()
New studies show that most children will naturally chelate toxins like mercury, aluminum, formaldehyde, ether, and antifreeze (?) out of their system within weeks (thus the fever and flulike symptoms for a few days…the body working hard to get rid of the toxins?).
I chose not to give AJ the influenza vaccine, the rotavirus vaccine, he only had Tetanus (not the entire DTaP (because he was in Russia at the time), and I will not give him the Hib vaccine unless I have to (and I may because I know the risks of meningitis second hand). The other vaccines I did not have a choice on because he was already vaccinated when we adopted him (and he had to be according to US law and in order to enter the country as a citizen).
However, given AJ’s medical history and inability to chelate out toxins I have to assess everything that goes into his system. But, why am I only assessing vaccines on an individual basis and not as a whole? Hmmm…I suppose that is the question of the day.
Generation Rescue has taken out an entire page ad in the New York Times to educate the public on how we need to “Green Our Vaccines” and look at the Vaccine Debate as a whole, not as individual vaccines. “Given the dramatic rise of autism to epidemic levels, isn’t it time for the scientific community to seriously consider the anecdotal evidence of so many parents?”
Hmmm, not necessarily sure about that but it could hold some truth…perhaps there is some evidence that could surface regarding the amount of vaccines we give out children, not just about the MMR.

Excellent post! I have been thinking about these vaccinations lately too. I was so mad one day at the doctor’s office b/c they gave my daughter a new vaccine without consulting me. We went for her regular check up and vaccinations and the nurse walks in, spits out something about this is a new vaccine, and starts giving it to my daughter. I was like, “What, huh?” I didn’t even have a chance to process what she was doing. It wasn’t that I wouldn’t have agreed to it, but I really wasn’t given the chance. I left there feeling manipulated and uninformed. My daughter has sensory processing disorder and I have to wonder how many kids are doing to have issues before we say enough is enough!!!?!!!!! I often wonder if we’re going to read about the vaccination craze in textbooks someday as something the US learned from. Too bad we’re the guinea pigs.

Karen, did not know your daughter has SPD! You will find lots of good information here.
I would have felt the same way as you did…Fortunately, my doctor knows better and would never give my son anything (he has multiple special needs on top of his SPD).
Did it affect her in anyway?

We choose vaccines carefully for both health and ethical reasons. It is always good to research what meds you allow your child to have, and to remember that you are the parent not the doctor. :)Great post.

When I have children they are not getting ANY vaccines! I will not comply to the curruption of the pharamceudical industry and make my child suseptible to the horrible side effects of these poison vaccines. There are NO LAWS making it mandatory for children to be vaccined. Simply request a waiver form at their school saying it is against your spiritual beliefs to vaccinate. My deepest sympathies to the woman who’s child was vaccined without her approval. I’d be enraged, I’d sue the doctor’s office responible.

I understand everyone’s concern about vaccines, but not vaccinating isn’t the issue. There is alot of good to be said of these vaccines, but if the vaccine schedule is an issue address the schedule. I have 3 children and each one of them have received the vaccines per CDC guidance and they are healthy. We as a society must keep our nation disease free as well as our children. There are also other factors that we must consider. There are vaccines that are preservative free, you just have to ask for them.
I don’t agree with not informing parents before vaccinating children, but the answer is not having your child vaccinated. That is taking it to the ultimate extreme. Have your providers make for you an alternate schedule one that you can agree upon!

Completely agree, Allen. I think that vaccines should be completely child centered, not given to the masses according to one schedule. Each child is different and reacts to medications and vaccines differently so shouldn’t doctors treat them differently?.
