Autism Quote of the Week

I had a neurologist tell me last month that the diagnosing of autism right now was comparable to art appreciation. My first thought was to tell him “I’m so happy to know that your diagnosing my kids with something very serious is similar to me arguing with someone over whether or not the red in the painting emphasizes love or hate.”

That is just a fabulous way to put things but it makes sense in this day and age. They seem to be diagnosing on whimsy…does he fit? Maybe, does she? Nah…but she does. It’s all a crap shoot if you ask me.
