Friday Freebies: How to Make a Paper Airplane
I never knew how to make a paper airplane until last week. Sure, I made them back in 7th grade but I always followed detailed instructions from origami books. I was never able to make them from memory.
Now that AJ is infatuated with all things that fly, including kites, plastic bags, and paper airplanes. I am certainly not found of him playing with plastic bags but the good thing is that he requests us to tie strings on them so that he can fly them into the air; he does not (and has never) put one near his head.
I learned how to make a paper airplane from memory just last week. I specifically used these instructions and they worked fabulously. He asks me for a new one every morning. The funny thing is that he does not ask his father for an airplane, a job that was traditionally reserved for him (until this past week, of course).
I feel so proud of myself; so proud that this is something that I have accomplished for my son, that this is something that he comes to me for, as there are few things that I can specifically do for him like this. His father plays tackle with him, I work with school work, and now I am also able to do this. It makes me feel good.
