Gluten and Casein Free Easter Candy

by

peeps.jpgEaster is right around the corner and society says that your child’s Easter basket should be filled to the brim with candy. There are Gluten Free/Casein Free solutions for our children if you want to include candy. Make sure to check this post for the most comprehensive Gluten and Casein Free Candies that I have seen. Remember to check all the labels before eating anything because manufacturers can change anything at anytime.

Some more of my favorites?

Gluten Free Mall

Tootsie Pops and Tootsie Rolls We are pleased to be able to inform you that, at this time, all of our confections are gluten, peanut and nut product free. We do not use wheat, barley, rye, oats, triticale, spelt or any of their components and that includes our manufacturing process. We do use corn and soy products in the manufacturing of our products.

Wonka
Wonka uses maltodextrin (not sure if this is rice or potato dextrin…I assume it is not wheat because these products are ALL considered gluten free. I have sent them an email for confirmation). Either way…all the same amount of sugar, right?
Wonka Bottlecaps

For some fabulous Easter Specific Candy:
Jelly Belly Candies are Gluten Free, and dairy free but they do not say if they are casein or lactose free, which is different than dairy free. Read the labels.

You can ALSO order Belly FLOPS, something my father-in-law used to do all the time. Well, he actually stopped at the outlet store on his way home from sales calls but they are fabulous little “slightly” off jelly bellys that kind of flop right into your mouth. All the same flavor and fun.

Marshmallow Peeps We got a kit a few years back to actually MAKE Marshmallow Peeps. Yes! You can actually MAKE your own in your very own kitchen and they are Gluten and Casein Free! Head to my other site to check out a fabulous HOW TO posting on how to do this yourself.
